John, 

I love this portrait. The expressions of both seem un-posed and authentic: the woman somewhat cynical and world-weary, while the child is oblivious to the adult world; just sitting quietly and eating his ice cream. The shoulder strap having fallen and the uneven pants legs are particularly engaging and real.
