Amazing Gail! It's one thing to see an image like this, but to capture it is nothing short of remarkable. And what's that I see? A dove with its wings open at bottom/top center of the image? Now that's my type of image! ;)

Your abstract deconstructions of nature always seems to lead to beautifully surprising results, a penetration to the prismatic heart of its brilliance and color. Nice work as always, Gail.

Indeed, a photographic celebration of color . . .  This image easily can be used as a meditation device; the viewer's eye clearly is drawn to the center.  I see this image as an interpretation of the third eye, and I also see it as a flower with 8 petals symbolizing the Eightfold Path of the Buddha.  The following is filched from Wikipedia.

My best always,

michael

What a fascinating critique. You have certainly 'looked' into this image. I am going to write this info down and also draw it to the attention of my daughter. She meditates often. You gave me a 'new set of eyes' into my own composition, thank you so much for sharing your observations with me Michael!

With Sincere Appreciation, Gail

Each one of you has expressed your unique thoughts on this image. Ranga, you saw a 'jewel', GungaJim, a Dragonfly, such positive encouragement surely is appreciated.

Every so often, I had the treat of owning one of those marvellous toys, but really they are works of Art today, some are made of wood and very artistic creations. I never tired of looking through them, marvelling at all the colors! My sincere thanks for enjoying this artistic side of my personality.

Talk soon, Gail

Janegbert - I did not see the Corpse, but I think I can see what you see, everyone sees something different!

Luisa - My dear friend, I think we inspire each other, and of course we know where our divine inspiration comes from, the wonderful colors of nature!!

Eystein - I appreciate you thoughts on this work as I know it is very different to what you do Eystein, but your landscapes truly inspire me to study more in that area of Photography.

Your command of the English language, amazing wordsmith skills, and more than that, I know that your years of education and reading have done much to contribute to the meaningful words you write when commenting. I always look forward to your comments Jack. I hope over time I 'pick up' a bit of this wonderful skill. I admire so much how you 'look into an image'. You 'see' on the street, the small things that so many of us fail to even notice.  You have an important place here on PN. You inspire so many. Sincere thanks for stopping by and being that inspiration for me.

'Visual Journey Of The Soul' - my, that would have been a wonderful title. I think living in such a marvellous place has made you so aware of the many colors that exist to be appreciated. Thank you for that lovely compliment!

I loved kaleidoscopes when I was younger and this has the effect on me, full of bright and beautiful color and patterns!

so very good to hear from you. I liked kaleidascopes as well as a child. They were popular as birthday 'goody bag' treats. I was always delighted when I found one in my 'treat bag'. I searched them on the Internet and there are some very fancy ones made out of wood now, truly amazing!!!

Another great kaleidoscopic image.  This one has a strong sense of dynamic movement to it, and almost has a spiritual element to it IMO.  Was this by any chance taken in a church?  This could be an abstract of angel or butterfly wings, and it's weird how the movement appears to be in/out, up/down and radiating from the center all at the same time.  Beautiful work!

No this actually was originally a photo of a very bold colored painting. It is the way you play with the perspective to begin with, then the layer blending modes, then you take whatever you like to Oil Paint. It is amazing what you can come up with when you have the patience. Many thanks for those lovely words of Critique Christal

with sincere appreciation, Gail
