Koalas are amazing creatures having fantastic features to help them

survive the harsh Australian environment. They have evolved a smaller

brain to conserve their energy. They have sharp claws to climb the gum

trees and enormous noses to detect toxins in gum leaves they eat. It

is difficult to find a koala wide-awake because they sleep for 18-22

hours every day. This picture was shot in Taronga Zoo in Sydney, NSW,

Australia. I was lucky to spot this beautiful koala (who was not

sleepy or sleeping) on a gum tree in such a beautiful pose, looking

curiously at something interesting with widely-opened eyes. Comments &

suggestions are solicited.
