Difficult to repeat such GREAT capture. Unfortunately focusing had gone to the tree, I know, this is a 7d focusing problem.

Yea, indeed such a beautifull picture wasted, what a pity.

I don't think though it's a focusing problem because the back of the "kitty" is in a better "clarity condition" than the head which is "the disaster".

Looking into the exif i think it's a shutter's speed problem (1/40). Plain bad luck, the head simply moved.

 

But even given the above cons i am still fascinated by this picture and its wonderful colors, bokeh and composition.
