nicolasray 0 Posted September 4, 2013 Hi Graham,The photograph works very well especially the eyes which is probably in my opinion the most important aspect of any portrait. The second appealing aspect is the abundance of textures - the robe, facial hair and skin composition especially around the forehead area. Very interesting long face with great proportions. Like that he is slightly off center - Image would have failed if it was centered. Just wondering if it may work or have more impact if the print was set up as portrait as opposed to its current landscape setting. Have you tried to darken the background just a bit, not black but just enough to remove/lessen the background vertical lines which look like opened doors especially the rounded corner just off his right shoulder.
