nem 0 Posted August 19, 2003 Very nice. Well lit, nice expression, and I like the slight angle. The background almost merges with the subject, but not quite. Link to comment
philmorris 0 Posted August 19, 2003 Great portrait and very rich in orange and earth tones. So many questions. A window's soft lighting? Did you suggest the black shirt (if so well done). Did you crop from the left to wedge the head in to the top left? Link to comment
toja.com 0 Posted August 19, 2003 Answers: one lightbox and one umbrella. Right side of the photo was cropped. Link to comment
radu_liviu 0 Posted August 19, 2003 A very nice portrait. Maybe too much cut from the left... Link to comment
duenas 0 Posted August 19, 2003 A very nice one. What I like the most is that the detail of the shirt on his left side is preserved. I would've liked His right hand to cover the chair. Very good one indeed Link to comment
brad_hiltbrand 0 Posted August 19, 2003 Very nice. I keep thinking it might have been better taken a little bit to the left, but I really like the strong diagonal of light the way it is. Excellent. Link to comment
carolyn_weikkola 0 Posted August 19, 2003 I like it just the way it is....simple, perfect Link to comment
edward3 0 Posted August 20, 2003 awesome lighting and pose; worthy of the liner notes inside a jazz record (if he was a jazz musician, that is!) Link to comment
paola_cesari 0 Posted August 20, 2003 Me gusta la luz, me gusta la pose inclinada. Me parece ante todo un retrato muy original. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 20, 2003 It is another striking portrait Chris. The note Phil made about the tones is, to me, the most striking aspect of the image. Given the shadows, Eji's flesh tones strike out boldly from the image. The pose is relaxed yet quite intense and the crop is quite dynamic. No complaints at all about this one. Link to comment
rdwhiteman 0 Posted August 20, 2003 The composition of this image is unusual but with everything else comes across extremely well. The lighting is nearly perfect and needs no improvement along with the pose and expression. Top-notch work! Link to comment
