Thankyou for your visit Tony. This fellow was a bit tired, it took him almost an hour after his 'affair' to jump down to my Porch. I don't mind them as long as they don't jump on me!!!

Yes, it is nice to go back to moments during the year that we recall were days that had really enjoyable 'pockets' of 'joy', no matter how simple. I am sure your travels this summer will have many memories for you to 'cherish' and look back upon. We are blessed to recall such times. So often we take them for granted. I hope you have a good weekend, and learn lots on Sunday!!!

I know your mind thinks more of the Scientific properties of the Camera and Lens, their optimum levels at which both perform and the fact that you are willing to share this information is very appreciated by me. In the same 'breath' (whew!!) I appreciate that you can look at an image and express your enjoyment of 'artistic presentation'. I try to use images that have decent detail and can be also viewed in a different presentation. We have talked about this and I appreciate that your can 'see' and appreciate this form of expression. Many thanks for taking the time to express your thoughts on this composition Mike. Hope you and Betsy have a great weekend!, Gail

Hi Gail,

You know, when I saw this image I did not think "macro," (which usually implies strong detail and an emphasis on technical issues) I just saw a beautiful pastoral moment. I love the pastel tones and soft texture. I think you have created your own "macro" definition and I like it!

This has inspired my to post my own grasshopper!

Hi Tim,

I will have to come check out your Grasshopper!! I actually posted this one under Fine Art. But it is a Macro. But there are so many Macro Insect images, and so many better than mine. I decided to do something a bit different with this one....sincere thanks for dropping by Tim!!!
