trevor_frost 0 Posted May 7, 2001 First of all, you might as well not even try to take pictures of bugs with out a good macro lens. I cant even see the bug, because it is so small and the shadow over it makes it dissapear. Try photographing bigger bugs such as moths and butteryflys or even mammals. Link to comment
mehmet_ozcan 0 Posted May 8, 2001 Seda, I think you made a bold attepmt to picture something tricky like this, thank you for sharing with us! As the previous comment goes, such small bugs may work better on a picture if you have macro lens. Still, with your present equipment, you might have tried to approach that from a slightly different angle so that the bug would be seen on the side of the plant. And maybe, a different background (eg sky, if you shoot from down pointing upwards) would have worked better. Although you blurred the bakground nicely, it still does not provide adequate contrast with the subject. Well, I'm not a pro photographer by no means (this is obvious if you look at my little folder) and I'm not trying to be discouraging here. Just thought writing something is better than not to!
