Part of a series of shots from Sasco, Arizona. The Rockland Hotel

served visitors to Sasco, a once-prominent smelting town west of

Tucson. Sasco today is a pile of maze-like ruins; its relative

isolation and relative proximity to Tucson make it a haven for paint

ball enthusiasts, vandals, teens, shooters, and the occasional

photographer. The mountain in the background is Picacho Peak, a

prominent landmark between Tucson and Phoenix and the site of the

westernmost battle of the Civil War.
