While doing a Boat Safari on Periyar Lake, I spotted this beautiful

bird - a Cormorant. The bird was just ready to take off from the stem

on which it was perched. While taking off, the cormorant turned its

head to have a look at something irresistible, offering me this

extraordinary pose. Though the bird was at a distance, I could capture

the take-off of the cormorant just in time with the help of my Canon

70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM telephoto zoom on hand-held Canon 550 D

body. I invite your valuable comments and suggestions.
