stp 6 Posted July 9, 2013 I like the light throughout the frame. I only wish it would be possible to pose the model with her head/neck at an angle that looks a bit more comfortable. Link to comment

stp 6 Posted August 19, 2013 I still think she looks awkward and uncomfortable, and that affects what I see in her. On the other hand, the diminishing light on the steps is appealing, and the overall light on the model is well done (in a difficult lighting situation). But other than a model posed in a bright doorway, I don't take much away with me after viewing it. However, that's probably not unexpected; I think this is all about the posing of a model in this particular setup, controlling the light in the frame, and little more. Link to comment
JatinderKeith 0 Posted August 19, 2013 One would strike such a pose while in carefree and casual childlike lazing mood in the privacy of home (she looks young enough to have kid attitudes). However the lifting of the heels and uncomfortable neck position betray this and indicate that she is squeezing in to strike a pose for the photographer.I view it as an image of the steps leading to brightly lit window. The young lady in such pose has been introduced in the frame to introduce a visually interesting element. It is a good experiment. Link to comment
Art X Photography 1 Posted August 19, 2013 I like the image, the overall composition, but I too feel the pose is laboured somewhat. The soft key tones give this an ethereal feel which is nice and easy on the eye. I wonder what the image would look like framed higher on the top allowing for more of the wall along the top. Perhaps that would add a bit more balance? as a thought Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted August 19, 2013 Difficult lighting carried off well. Overall, I like it. I will agree with others that her neck looks strained in the pose. I'd also crop the bottom step leaving the odd number of 3 Link to comment
Art X Photography 1 Posted August 19, 2013 I agree with Ken, cropping the bottom step would work better Link to comment
