cmouli 0 Posted July 4, 2013 The Upper Antelope Canyon, inside Navajo nation is a magical place where centuries of patient work by nature has resulted in amazing textures and abstract forms on sandstone rock walls. It poses great challenges for photographers. Exposure is tricky. Limited space for placing a steady tripod, which is a must. Fine dust is a constant problem, particularly on windy days. I took this long exposure shot deep inside the canyon to bring out the blue colors of scattered light from the rock faces as the mid-day sunlight crept through the narrow slots in the canyon. stp 6 Posted July 6, 2013 I think exposures here are difficult because of the great range of light, and yours is spot on. The transition from light at the top to much more muted forms and colors at the bottom is very appealing. Link to comment
