MY - thanks - glad you liked it. This is one I took some time ago and decided to highlight it again.

Hi Tony

Defiantly, this capture has an amazing taste of colours, but it need to be larger to relish its beautiful details. best regards

Museeb - I am always reluctant to post images too large. Even though I have chosen the photo.net "no download' option, there are easy ways to capture any image posted up on the internet. Just last week a photo.net friend sent me an e-mail with two links where about 40 of images from photo.net were posted on their web site without my permission. A couple of years ago, there was an 'asian' site selling my images even though my name and website had not been removed. I don't make money on my images so why should they?

Tony, I am with you, but the beauty of some images makes the viewer avid.

To make them legitimate :).

Fabulous image Tony, Dramatic and very well edited. Such dark clouds!! The colors are a dramatic and effective contrast to each other.

Very moody and mysterious. Part of me would have loved to be there, but part of me would have been worried about what was to come. The amber foreground really adds to the shot. Well seen.

Just read the commentabout someone stealling and selling your work. I recntly received a call from the Canadian police wanting to know if someone had permission to sell my works. I went to their website and sure enough one of my shot was there alond with a number of other shots I recognized. The only place my shot could have come from was PN. Turns out they couldn't do anything except tell the person tha what he was doing was illegal and to take the images down. In one sense I have always said that if someone liked my work well enough that they wanted to steal it and claim it was theirs I would be honored, but it does make you wonder as well. The worst part was It wasn't one of my best works.

Many thanks for all of your kind words and sorry for my late response as I was away on a mini vacation in Florida. The hotel where I was staying barred my access to photo.net due to 'questionable material'.

PS Charles I am sorry to hear that you too are a victim to the 'photo stealers'.

Hey Tony, beautiful image that resonates with me.  I've stood in the cold, the smell of fermenting aspen leaves carried on the breeze, your photograph brings all those senses back and I imagine you experienced the same standing on that bluff overlooking that golden valley.  I really like the diversity in clouds from the light fog clinging to the ground to the more ominous, darker clouds gathering over the mountain tops, all contrasted against the rugged mountains and radiant fall color.  It's too bad the lone nacreous/polar stratospheric cloud couldn't have drifted into the frame formed by the darker storm clouds but what can you do?
