I am surprised I did not see how much it does look like a ring Mike!!! And I think you have taken an image of Betsy with it on!! The colors do go well together! 1/50sec was a stretch so far for me!

I agree with your wise words.  This has a Jewel quality to me -- the delicacy of the smaller petals are hardened almost like settings in a special ring.  The backdrop gives an outer space feel, but I like it.  I have a bunch of flowers on my kitchen counter and I stare and admire and luxuriate in the loveliness.  a lovely creation from yours

Hi Gail, is incredible to see the original and then the final result, it's just a great piece of art coming from a very creative mind. Also, the title is great, I can see two hearts and tree crosses, where your inspiration  may have come from . It could also  be seen  as a piece of Jewellery too, our imagination can go on and on with this magnificent image.

Best regards,

LuDa

I just picked some white peonies from my garden yesterday, and as I sat on the deck the aroma was heavenly. I have always found 'solace' with flowers. Thank you for your very kind compliment, talk soon, Gail

These are not too difficult to do, just take patience and a bit of time. When you get your Elements, I can give you a little lesson, flowers work really well!!! I work on these when my mind is-well, you know what I wrote you. I can get lost in these and I am sure while creating them, you use both sides of your brain. Somehow I feel much better after 'creating' something. Sincere thanks for your visit my friend, and for your support and mails!!!

Talk again soon, Gail

Hi Gail

Lovely. I would put this in my garden shed. That may not sound like much of a compliment but remember that an Englishman's shed is his castle!

Gail, what a lovely abstract. It really does look like a piece of jewelry. The ovals on either side of the center are faceted like a jewel and that is what my eye went to first. Then my brain kept seeing the other jewels and finally the top of a ring or ...  I also enjoyed seeing what you started with.

Thanks for you comment on my San Diego getaway.

The original is splendid, my dear dear !

The abstract is interesting but it lacks your optimistic punch, alas...

Bow my head !

Hi Gail,

Your image is amazing. Initially I thought you had shot a jewelled ring standing on end. Your original image intrigued me so much that I cannot stop looking at your end result.  I especially like this because I am also using timed exposure and camera movment to create '' impressionist '' type effects.

Great Job :)
