Alas, this photo is a living encyclopedia of photographic mistakes. It also proves that violating the simplest rules is not advisable to the inexpert - only masters can safely do it. In detail: (a) the horizon is tilted, which is always extremely annoying; (b) vertically, the horizon is placed dead in the middle which is dull; © horizontally, the subject (sun) is also placed dead in the middle; (d) there are no interesting details and no center of interest, not counting the microscopic boat which certainly cannot be defined as a significant subject. Finally, (e) the picture is shown in far too big a format; photos submitted in PN have to be comprised within a 800x800 pixel area to be fully visible on a normal (1024x768 pixel) screen. Sorry for the severe criticism, but I suppose this is what you were asking for.
