Yes, I have had trouble quite often blowing the whites, but it was overcast at times that day! many thanks for your encouraging comments!

Sincere thanks for your time and always your input!!! I imagine in the thumbnail it could very well look like a Catepillar or worm. Glad you enjoyed this one!

You know I was very unsure of putting the ghostly image of the Iris in the background but the original background was kind of grey and very boring!

might be a federal offence. One can never know.

Forget about !

Just enjoy them and eat one thinking at me :)

I am sorry my friend!!! My stomach would 'burn out' with one of those peppers!!! I will arrange some very nicely, light a candle, or perhaps some fireworks 'sparklers' - have your name in front of them, and take a pic!!! How does that sound!! A 'PEPPER TRIBUTE' Florin Style!!!!!

Gail, I like the colors and angle. When there is wind, I use a clothes pin type of end on a flex rod to help hold a flower still. You can make one or buy one for about $25 US. I also use a black background sometimes to control what is seen behind a flower I am shooting. I will hold the cloth and use a remote cable release to fire the shutter. Nice shot and ratings.

The different elements in this photo are rather striking. Picking up earlier comments, there are interesting gender bending issues here - Lothario, with all those soft feminine colours and shapes. Rather beautiful.

Hi Gail,

A most interesting exchange here, especially with Florin.

As for EOS, Nikon and all the others that reside here, I have no favorites. Like hot peppers, each have their own taste and strengths...................I like them all.

Betsy and I are looking forward to meeting you and Jim. Yes, a photography lesson and looking through a telescope or two is planned as well.

The food and drinks will be plentiful, too !

All the best my friend,

Mike

Yes, a lot of conversation! & yes it will be great if we can get down to visit, sounds like you would be the 'host'est with the most-est'!!! no complaints there!!! Seriously, I really hope we can visit, we really need a 'breakaway'. Why not go where it will be warm and sunny (at least I hope it will be in the Fall!!!)

What great advice!! I am sure I can make a rod, and I actually surprised my husband hadn't thought of it already, he is usually quick to find the optimum way to achieve any task. I am in the process of getting a large enough piece of paper for outside work. Thanks so much for the advice Dave!

Hi Gail, I think this image is very beautiful. The DOF and colors are excellent. I've never seen this particular flower before, its amazing. This image reminds me of something I would see in a saltwater aquarium, very anemone like. Well done.

Best Regards,

Holger

Oh Holger, it is so good to hear from you!!!! This is an Iris that is actually very common, but I am glad that you found it to be beautiful!!! I will write when I get a moment!!!

Wishing you the best always, Gail

Gregory, thank you for those very kind words of Critique, so glad you liked this one. I do bring the flowers inside as well, I need to set up a better area for a studio space (I know I don't need much room). Thanks so much for the advice!!!
