walter_palmer 7 Posted June 10, 2001 Thanks, Tandy. A week after looking at this portrait it is still inspiring me. I guess I have to rate it high and express my thanks. Link to comment
scama 0 Posted June 10, 2001 you are a good pfotographer.your picture is great .my opinion : a catch-light in the eyes it was better in combination with your soft shadow place under the hat Link to comment
barmijo 0 Posted June 15, 2001 A great shot. The subject connects with the viewer. Each detail in the face seems to have a story. The shadow and the centering are the only distractions - but I wouldn't risk changing a thing because it could ruin a truly wonderful photograph. As for the tight cropping; with a subject like this I prefer tight shots - get in their face! Link to comment

garyprzy 0 Posted August 10, 2001 Tandy, Your picture of this man is stunning. Like most people here, I love the cropping and the man's interesting face-- very nice shot. I am interested in your use of Ilford HP-5. I have shot a lot with Delta 400 and Kodak's Plus-X. Are you still using HP-5? Link to comment
carlos_perez 0 Posted August 24, 2001 The cropping makes this photo possible IMO... Subtle things like the chin being cropped just short tease you and draw you in closer. It makes your mind think about the possibilities. The longer you look the more it draws you in. Good job! Link to comment
michael_fruitman 0 Posted October 8, 2001 What a beautiful portrait. A nice tonal range shown on the face. It is the photo's like these, that makes people realize just how beautiful the art of photography is. Link to comment
