eric_speelmon1 0 Posted August 10, 2003 San Xavier del Bac was built in the 1690's by Father Eusebio Kino. I was in Tucson recently for a conference and hoped to get a good image of the mission. I was happy with this one although I wish the scaffolding would not have been present. Link to comment
tarique_sani 0 Posted August 10, 2003 Lovely sky, also the contrast of renovated and partly renovated parts in the building works well Link to comment
simon_shapiro 0 Posted August 10, 2003 There is a great vertical picture of only the dome and sky on the left as well. Link to comment
cile, fine art photographe 0 Posted August 10, 2003 wonderful sky for background. The white building in front has the best shades and richness in color. Great composition. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted August 11, 2003 Excellent composition and exposure. Great details in the counterlight shadowy part. Good work and beautiful result. Well done Link to comment
davek57 0 Posted August 13, 2003 This is an exceptionally hard mission to photograph, because in normal daylight, it's too white for most electronic cameras to get an accurate meter reading. (I speak from experience!) That scaffolding has been there for at least two years, since I was last in Tucson. But you did a superb job capturing the dramatic skies and the quiet solitude of the mission. Link to comment
