dom1 1 Posted June 30, 2013 Pierre, your art will be interpreted by the viewer. For me, I am in the Utah desert. Yesterday, hiking deep into the canyons, with temperatures at 110 degrees F, I encountered a cliff I could not climb...a dead end. I found shade, took inventory of a diminished water supply, and looked at the useless cell phone in my hand. Go back the way I came or find a way to scale the cliff with 20 pounds of gear on my back??? What if? But I'm here now, the challenge behind me. So, this art really works for me!! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 274 Posted June 30, 2013 Dominick, you are an adventurous guy I see! It was a long time ago when I traveled with my bicycle with all my photographic equipment plus a video handy-cam, 100 miles or a little bit more was my route for one day, but I was starting at midnight to avoid sun and heat! I can never understand why you do these life jeopardizing adventures, especially now, when a real adventure for me is to walk up and down about three miles with 12 pounds of mineral water on my back half of the way! maria 7 Posted July 3, 2013 well, regarding shadows, I think it depends - to me it seems that the objects are not full scale, but some models. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 274 Posted July 3, 2013 If I understood you well you are saying that when the shadows are cut the objects look not real, it's surrealistic picture and they don't have to look real, as a matter of fact they are hardly real at all, Maria! Thank you for your thorough exploration of my series! PDE Link to comment
