I like your processing. That the image is not a classic macro is not a problem to me. It's good art and it's original.

Gail, you did rightfully to choose this shot for applying your edit skills, coming up with this artsy result, bringing to us the microcosmosmos we tend to overpass .  The fly looks like emerging from  an unreal world to reality , the epicenter being the perfectly focused eyes which is what really matters. Compliments, fond regards, my friend!

Always a treat to see that you have visited Chris!!! Thank you for your input on this composition. This was a Macro of a Fly but the background was pretty blown on the 'right'. I decided I would use it for a Digital Alt. Composition and try to find a suitable texture to replace the background. I'm glad you found the final image to your liking.

Wishing you the best always, Gail

Flies are not normally considered by most as attractive creatures.  But you made this one look like a princess, especially with your post-processing.

Well done, Gail.

Actually I find flies to be 'vile' but they are very interesting to Photograph, good subjects because of all the hairs etc and especially the compound eye. Many thanks for crowning this one a 'Princess'!!!
