Hi Tony- Hailing from the relatively flat landscape of Southern Ontario, it's always interesting to see the juxtaposition of moiuntains, lakes & cities .Must admit i can almost feel the dampness in the air from the low lying fog or mist.Nicely captured. Best Regards-Ross

Rejith - thank you for your generosity. I just visited your latest bird photography and i would encourage others to do so. I try and keep my images as close as possible to the way I saw and remember the scene but I am getting the feeling that this strategy may be outmoded and soon I will have to adapt 'to make a difference'.

Tony, this "scene" and "setting" has always been one of my favorites! The image was already in my personal favorites portfolio; that photo was titled "Harbor at dawn, Whittier Alaska". There is that certain majesty & a real "richness" about the scene, the colors, and the detail in the photo ...... as though it were hi-lited by some mysterious touch of gold. (Here, Tony, you show your Midas Touch!). In this photo, the clouds add to that "air of mystery" that surrounds the small town...... homey, comfortable, antiquated, busy, yet serene and relaxing ..... all describe the place so well. Absolutely deserving of a 7. Now I know why it's in my "favorites" portfolio. Keep up the excellent work!

I love this perhaps even more than the landscape version because of the inclusion of clouds.  To my eye this looks like very early morning light, although your technical details say it's around 11 a.m.    When was it taken?  I have to try to get over to this vantage point when I'm in Whittier this summer.
