ryan_kieft 0 Posted April 23, 2013 A couple weeks ago I bought my first camera ever (Canon 5D - Mark III) and my friend gave me a Canon lens (70-300 f 4.5 - 5,6), NOT A L-Lens. Anyway, I put a vignette on it in Lightroom but nothing else has been altered or enhanced. What can I do to make this photo better??! Link to comment

janinesl 1 Posted April 24, 2013 You did a great job, Ryan. The look in the dogs face was well captured. Link to comment
charles_brennan 0 Posted April 24, 2013 Nice shot. Good composition, nicely blurred background. For me, the vignette may be a bit strong, especially where it encroaches on the dogs left ear. Maybe make a little more subtle, and rounded. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 25, 2013 Hard to say what would make it "better". I'll agree that the vignette's a bit strong, and really not sure why you added it. My opinion is usually that a good photograph doesn't need any gimmicks like vignettes. I think this one would stand on its own merits just fine without it. I like the depth of field and the alert look on the dog's face. I also like the off-center composition. Excellent detail, too. Link to comment
