one of my favorite images lately....its wonderful...IMO, it is indeed subtle and very interesting and keeps me wanting to keep viewing it in all of it's details...

One of my favorite photos! 

A most interesting image from several different ways of thinking.  I am having a problem understanding a technical aspect.  It seems that the image of the moon is fairly sharp (indicating you used a fast enough shutter speed to stop the motion of the earth - which would have blurred it)  Yet the same shutter speed would have made the stars look equally sharp but they look blurred.  What post processing steps did you take?

I took this picture with colors than i process it in BW arranging the exposure and the contrast. The sky that you see is tropical, and this picture is taken on the beach, which makes it feel so close and so big. I don't own such a powerful zoom so i had to retouch a bit the stars in order to make them look much more brilliant.
