This is really nice...i think portraits in bathtubs are fascinating (especially when the person is clothed). But really in the bath you are more alone and in your own space cut off from the world then perhaps any other place aside from unconsciousnes...

You know, that's exactly how I take a bath too. Saves time and gets my laundry done at the same time! Efficient, eh?

Chris, your vision comes from somewhere I can't even fathom but it never fails to leave me in a bit of awe. This image contains both wit and a bit of that inner desperation you refer to in the title. I think of the water as a metaphor for your desperation. Perhaps drowning in your efforts to realize your artistic vision, with an upward gaze to heaven to invoke something up there to show you the way. Maybe I'm way off but that's what I see. We need to gather around a cup of coffee or a beer (or several) and talk things photographic.

Oh My God, when I saw this I couldn't stop laughing...and no, not in a bad way! This is probably one of the most creative self-portrait photos I've seen in a while. Now I've got to go look at the rest of your portfolio!

I love it!

Your visions are very good for my eyes and brain matter... I like looking at them. Pondering them.

This photo grabbed me in particular, as you remind me of the wonderful musician/composer Goran Bregovic, who is [to me] one of the best.

I like what you do.

Thank you.

BTW: For some weird reason, I thought what looks like the cable release, was a FORK, ready to burst your boat so you could sink into the water... like you're contemplating it! :P [but then I'm like that.]
