root 0 Posted December 19, 2003 I meant to include this crop. I think it's the subject. Link to comment
pennie_lou 0 Posted December 20, 2003 The photo looks funny after cropping. It destroyed a perfect photo. Link to comment
root 0 Posted December 20, 2003 The purpose of the crop was to draw attention to the important part of the image. Some want to cut this part out. Please read the comments. (I like the shadows and reflections in your shot.) Link to comment

joshchapman 0 Posted January 7, 2004 Great composition! Very well balanced (especially with the reflection). Great tones and simply amazing perspective. Link to comment
jps21 0 Posted January 9, 2004 A decisive moment in which camera and man agree resulting in a perfect timing. I don't feel there is anything staged about this image but the confidence of been able to achieve a perfect framing at the right moment. All the elements work wonderfully well in this image as it was composed at the drawing desk. You are a good image maker. Keep up with the good work. Is good to have intuition, isn't it? katherine_vu 0 Posted January 11, 2004 I am humbled whenever I see something that demands a second or third look to fully appreciate. Though I wish the two men in the picture were more dissociated from each other (perhaps absorbed in the art rather than each other's companionship), I really admire the use of reflection and light. aaron emanuel litvinoff 0 Posted March 22, 2004 superb composition - although i feel you should allow an equal distance between the top and bottom of the nearest picture frame - so recrop, however, this is a minor problem. Compliments on a beautiful and excellently timed photograph. Link to comment
james e. petts 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Extraordinarily good composition: everything is just perfectly placed. This is really most impressive. Link to comment
je ne regrette rien 67 Posted July 26, 2007 It's a picture with many intended and unintended messages and details. It has been well captured, since it is very easy that such scenes decompose once the subjects realise that they have been photographed. Lukar has been very quick. I don't think he could bring all the details under his control, he must have focused basically on the curved wall perspective, the two watchers and the reflections in the glass, which is quite complicated. Consider that the two persons behave independently and that speed is a key element. One of my criteria is "would I expose it enlarged on a wall?" the answer in this case is absolutely: yes!
