dustinbise 0 Posted April 5, 2013 I posted this once before but have since recropped it in preperation for printing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated before I send it to the lab next week. Thanks. Dbise Link to comment
gregoryl 0 Posted April 5, 2013 Hello DustinA different take on light trails. Haven't seen it done with trains like this before. An interesting scene. Nice lead in and curve. A couple of thoughts. If you're printing this I might do a quick 4x6 to see how the lights, darks and colours turn out before getting a large print done. A print will be different from a screen image, it will also change depending if it's glossy or matt finish. I think the dark area lower right will be quite a large dark area with very little detail. The sky and colours I think might print better if more saturated. I would also reduce the noise in the sky. I did a quick edit to show what I mean for your consideration. Just my 2 cents.RegardsGreg Link to comment
dustinbise 0 Posted April 6, 2013 Very great feedback! I am so new to this new camera I am stuggling alot with proper noise reduction! I have been using DPP to edit my raws and not getting the results I am after. I am thinking of trying Photo Ninja after reading good reviews. I did not like lightroom! I used to shoot on a d70 nikon and have recently finally been able to save enough for a canon 6d and its back to basics on raws! my workflow has been turned upside down! do you have any siggestions for noise reduction software? There is alot of data I have for the shadow detail (this is 2 blended expousers, the trainlight was much different then the ambient light) and I will do a small print first. Thats a grand idea! gregoryl 0 Posted April 6, 2013 Hello DustinLots of choices for noise reduction. Have you tried Topaz labs denoise 5? All their software does a good job and is reasonably priced.CheersGreg Link to comment
