This one of a series of images I posted of a very large wasp (I think,

although it may be a queen ant) that I found in my house. They were

taken with a 100mm macro lens, extension tubes and a off camera flash.

If I said I didn't like this, I would mean it as a compliment. I would have no patience to take such an image even if I had the skills. Thankfully there are people like you who do have the time and don't mind sharing their work with us.

Not all of us are lucky enough to have such beautiful subjects as you do, so we make do with what we find ;-).  Judging by the images in your portfolio, I doubt you lack the skill for images such as this. Thanks for the comment.

I like this one - wonderful composition and crisp focus. I think the background are interesting - the black to white fade compliments the wasp and adds an "out-of-this-world" feel to it. Of-cause the black speck on the right side are a minor mistake.

Yeah that lens has some small specks of something on the inside of the lens. When I stop the lens down to really small apertures they show. That one on the right is really bad, but there are a few smaller ones all over. They should have been cloned out.
