Lose the power lines, you gotta really nice shot of some hot lightning hits!!

Actually, I like the power lines in this frame, and wouldn't contemplate removing them at all! :) I contrast the idea of raw, wild energy with harnessed, 'domesticated' electricity; it's a wonderful juxtaposition! I also like the grain in the shot- it gives it a bit of atmosphere. As for little nags, I don't like a couple of really tiny lightning streaks on the top left of the image, and to the left somewhere in the middle (neurotic me.. it they could be mistaken for dust on your negative while you were enlarging) Anyway! This shot works for me, I say well done!

A perfect picture to accompaign Edmund Burkes "Inquiry into the origins of our ideas of the sublime and the beautiful" or Immanuel Kant's "Kritik der Urteilskraft" (Critique of judgement).

 

The powerlines actually are OK in this picture.
