I like cats and so automatically like this photo. On top of that this is well done. The fun part is that this really looks like a wild cat and not a house cat. This is a mouse's perspective.

The good thing is that the "illusion" of a big and mean wild cat was done without apparent manipulation.

Ron, thanx for allowing us to see the details of this capture! All I had to do was click on 'photo admin' and there it was!
Marvelous.

Magnificent. Beauty, grace, power, and speed...all shown in the blink of an eye. Bravo!

This one is different from your typical animal shots we see all the time. And especially feline shots, which have gotten to be cliche. Has an immediate appeal that is hard to define but shows the result of a lot of patient shooting and also an understated visual feel. Good taste, subtle yet strong and a real feel for the subject. I like that there is just about right balance between subject and background effect,. And the blur comes out just about right for a pan, which is no small job as we all know. The color, which does not get in the way but does its part is subdued and I say good. Suggests the way cats stalk their prey from hiding in the landsape and then pounce. Well done, Ron.

Did this forum get renamed or go on the elves go on vacation? The last POTW was posted 4/23 and nothing since, at least on my feed. The forums are nicely active and updated yet this seems inactive. To borrow from and old ad, it it me or Memorex? Thanks for any help.
