Pierre Dumas 304 Posted March 12, 2013 She was seating in the cafe lobby of my school and I tried several times to take her picture and she always closed her eyes when the flash lit and camera shot! It has happened twice in my life and I can't explain to myself what was the matter! There wasn't a preflash in both cases! Simply you can't catch the model's eyes! PDE Link to comment
kazimir 5 Posted March 12, 2013 Maybe she was subconsciously afraid that you will take her soul with a camera.Anyhow and anyway, this is a stunning portrait!!!!Sve najbolje!!!! Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted March 12, 2013 Hi Pierre,This response to the flash has happened to me only once. When I lifted the camera to view the model , it was like a mouse trap being set. Her eyes would close when the flash fired. The only way I got the shot with the eyes open was to speak to the model and take the image without her noticing the position my camera.A unique presentation , well shot my friend.Best Regards, Uncle Mike Link to comment
gsaphoto 2 Posted March 12, 2013 It happen... Next time try it with manual setting. Shutter speed 90, aperture 2.4 or 2.8, take two-three shots non stop. Thus numbers work for me... I hope it will work for you also... Link to comment

overdiep 0 Posted March 12, 2013 Pierre, She is indeed a beauty. The closed eyes strengthen her beauty and bring the viewer very close to her inner world. Compliments. Best regards, Marco Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 304 Posted March 13, 2013 The question is how she (and you) manage to close the eyes before the flash is being fired Bela! I don't push the button (the old rule, don't push - squeeze) so that you can't see when the flash will fire! Thanks for your visit and input! PDE Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 304 Posted March 15, 2013 Thank you Museeb and thank you too Maurizio! Maurizio, preghiera tu dici! Tu non mi crederai quando ti mostrano un quadro in cui è stata utilizzata la stessa foto, e che la imagine si chiama "una suora nel suo mondo"! Avete lo stesso occhio come me! PDE Link to comment
