A beautiful young lady in Tokyo...

Or is it ?!

Congrats Jack !

With the patterns and directional lines on the street, this might be a reality board game.

A sense of a moment of urban life frozen - fixing elements in place as though the chaos were somehow orchestrated. Shades of Meyerowitz, perhaps.

Bill has described the photo very well. In all the chaos and moving around her, she a welcome resting point for my eyes - looking as lost as I am while failing to understand any purpose or reason of this urban maze.

The moment must have developed very rapidly (except her waiting for the lights turn gree) and you caught the moving cars at the right instant and placed her very clever in the center and at a converging point of many lines.

I love this color image and everything in the frame lines, shadows.  Beautiful composition. Inspiring!

A strong street shot, Jack - Great multi- directional feel & overall perspective.

& yes, Meyerowitz came to mind, right away as well...

(I particularly like the way the reds are distributed in the photo - with the figure, partially hidden behind the pole, being the cherry on the cake).

love this one Jack...

you would probably not be surprised to find me here...from the soft light, the color spatial distribution to the strong geometrical elements...not to mention the sweet lady exchanging her curiosity to yours...even a fun addition from the guy on the phone behind the pole...

Mr Yoda woud say:    a little miracle in this image I feel.

What a wonderful moment you have captured here, Jack.  It would be a worthy street shot without her, but she is perfect.

I wish our streets looked like this.

"I wish our streets looked like this." Really? It can be interesting sometimes with a camera in hand but most of the time it's a little hard on the nerves. Don't take this picture as representative; it was taken early in the morning. Usually it's like the crowd exiting the Superbowl at the end of the game.
