Sunrise on Shams.

I awoke early having camped here at 1800m. It was Xmas day, and so

cold the night before that we'd jumped into our sleeping bags almost

immediately the sun went down. This is probably the only 'early

morning' shot I have; I'm rarely up and functioning at this hour

(5.30am). Although nothing to rave about artistically or technically,

the photo (for me) does illustrate the simple rewards that can be had

by going to bed early, sober(ish), and then getting up bright eyed

and bushy tailed. Within 5mins this scene was awash with harsh,

blazing sunlight.
