The Rookery

Was informed of a Bald Eagle nest on an Island in the Grand River just

below the Ft. Gibson Dam by one of the Oklahoma DNR Naturalists.

Well, I did find the nest (being the largest) amongst nearly one hundred

other nests! Seems the Island has become a Heron Rookery for this

Spring at least.

Appears that there may be many photo opportunities near my new

home!

This was taken near first light in the morning and I could only obtain

Silhouettes of the many Heron's but thought this interesting with the

different activities of the three here.
