Playing

My son was playing and fell saying he hurt his elbow. So I naturally did

what any concerned father would do, I ran over and started taking pictures

:D Of course I knew he didn't hurt his elbow much, I saw the whole thing...

He started laughing when I put the camera up to my eye saying "What the

heck are you doing?! I just told you I hurt my elbow and you're gonna take a

picture?!" YUP! He was up and running a few seconds later...diversion

works wonders :D

 My son is in his late 40s now but I remember doing similar things.  I probably would have said "Well, your injured arm is going to fall off, so I thought I would take a picture so we could remember what it looked like!"  That would inevitably cause him to giggle, so I got another picture.

Take lots of them so you can remember what he was like in these wonderful formative years.
