Super Moon of May 6, 2012 was really a celestial treat as the Moon was

nearest to the Earth (3,56,955 km) and came in a straight line with

Sun & Earth. It was a feast to eyes to watch this extraordinarily

beautiful, largest and brightest full-moon. Fascinating beauty of

Super Moon was captured on the night of May 6, 2012 at Tata Sherwood

Apartment Complex in Bangalore, India on tripod-mounted DSLR (Canon

550 D) through Canon 70-300 mm L telephoto zoom. Comments &

suggestions are solicited.

Avinash,

I suggest you to read a bit about moon photography to understand more the exposure settings you need to use to get better results.

From the technical information of the pic i can see:

F-stop: f/45 Exposure time: 1/8 second ISO-speed: ISO-100 Exposure bias: 0 step Focal length: 300 mm

For moon Photography we usually use high shutter speed (1/160-1/200), and the F should be widest possible, you have used F45 which is not allowing the right light to enter, you should have opened up to F6.3 and set a higher shutter speed.

Hope this helps...

Saadi
