caltha 0 Posted July 31, 2003 I've been told the lighting on this my first series of nudes is too grey and lacking contrast. Of course, the lighting wasn't the best, it was just one ordinary lamp. But I kinda like them this way... I could print them with higher contrast to make them less grey, but I feel that makes the "magic" dissappear. Link to comment
james_oneill 0 Posted July 31, 2003 I can understand someone liking this, but you're right it lacks contrast, and when it's digitized it makes matters worse - look at the shadows at the bottom - they're not smooth the way a print would be. I would try it on higher contrast paper just to find out if it works better. I might also try toning this or applying some soft digital effects to it to see what came out, it might empasise that "magic" feeling.The corset / shoulders / back in corset ones in this folder show that this very simple lighting can produce good contrast too. I like those better. But if you look in this folder of mine you'll see why. Link to comment
