scott_murphy5 101 Posted February 17, 2013 I like this image a lot Diana. The composition is perfect. I don't know if you were going for a very dark or somber mood on this one, but the foreground seems too dark for me. Much of that great texture in the pier is difficult to see. By lightening it up a little below the horizon, I think it gives the image more impact. What do you think? Link to comment
ddimitrova 0 Posted February 17, 2013 I think you're right. I really like the details in the wood. They are the focus in this picture. I think your suggestion is very appropriate. Thank you! Congrats! Link to comment
jackdallas 0 Posted February 18, 2013 the soft focus works perfect with this...nice ! Link to comment
scott_murphy5 101 Posted February 18, 2013 Never being one to leave well enough alone, I wondered what the image would look like if everything except the pier and blue boat were in grayscale. They are pretty monotone already. Since your title includes something about dreams maybe it could be making a statement about seeing some things in color whereas others see black and white. What do I know about things like that, I am a microbiologist! Link to comment
ddimitrova 0 Posted February 18, 2013 Here the connection is more between the two boats, not so much between the boat and pier. My idea is that dreams are achievable at different rates for different people (boat :) Someone is free to pursue his dream, another is tied to something. Maybe the difference is in the length of the rope? But your version is interesting too! Different people - different perceptions. Congrats! Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted February 20, 2013 Diana, I think that you have an excellent image with lack of focus problems. Scott's first suggestion works best for me. Best to you. Larry Link to comment
