Great Photo I love the shadow on the stone the dramatic sky and the  tone

I like the result in bw for this composition,me too I think that this tree and shadow on the rock looks very good,compliments.

I like your B&W work. The texture is just right. Contrasted tree shadow and the clouds make the picture. Also makes me wonder how would it look in the original coloured version.. Kind regards.

Looking at the small thumbnail, I didn't expect to see much detail, but I'm impressed at how well all parts of the tree stand out against the sky, the clouds, and the ground.  The shadow is also very distinct, and it's the icing on the cake. Very nicely done.  Personally, I like your original sky over your edited version; I think the darker upper right corner works well and is a better contrast.

Stephen, I appreciate your analysis, and the detailed way you explain it. I would have liked to give more perspective to the sky, with a longer exposure time, but I don't have any wide-angle lens yet. :-)
