b_christopher 0 Posted July 29, 2003 A striking image! The asymmetry adds sense of direction and determination. It feels complete in its simplicity. My eyes can't help but to flow from its eye to the point of the beak and beyond. I do miss seeing a bit of detail in the shadow area. Any chance that an on camera flash would've reached the length of the EF 300? Link to comment
jbachie 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Birds kind of creep me out and this one looks like it's about to peck my eye out. So I guess that makes it a good, realistic capture. Yuck! Good job. Link to comment
john_kroy 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Was this a crop ? Sorry it didn't work for me. I think the reason is that there is to little image with too much shadow in the subject - apart from the eye (cut through with shadow) there isnt much to engage me. Link to comment
sogeri_pilpoil 0 Posted July 30, 2003 Reminds me that tale : "The crow and the fox" by Jean de La Fontaine :-)))) Specially the bright eye. Dark colors fit more than expected to that atmosphere... Great, great, great. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted July 30, 2003 Very unusual view on a bird. I like the corresponding colors of the eye and the background. Fascinating details (waterdrops. Very original composition. Link to comment
