sgust 1 Posted February 8, 2013 I've posted two versions of this image, this and the following image. One I only did a little sharpening to and this one I also adjusted the levels for more contrast and saturation. Which do you prefer? Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted February 8, 2013 Overall, this one has the better tones and color saturation. I would, however attempt to lighten this one so that the eye shows more like the other exposure. You can do that locally so that only the immediate region of the eye is affected.Jerry Link to comment

sgust 1 Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks for the comments guys. I wasn't sure, I thought I might of went a little too saturated on the yellow with this one. Apparently not. Jerry, I'll see if I can post an edited version with the lightened eye. Link to comment
malmer 0 Posted February 10, 2013 Hi Siegfried. I like this picture (but I dislike the barb wire). The bird is beautiful. Best regards Per. Link to comment
sgust 1 Posted February 10, 2013 Thanks Per, I personally like the barbed wire. But that's why I posted it here, to get inputs that I wouldn't have thought of myself. Why don't you like it, because it's not natural? Or is it purely a matter of aesthetics? Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 11, 2013 I like the barbed wire. Must be one smart bird not to have any of it's body or wings get snagged!! Good capture! Link to comment

sgust 1 Posted March 1, 2013 Gail, Hanan,I appreciate you taking the time to comment. The barbed wire is actually a favorite perch for a lot of birds. The barbs don't seem to bother them at all. Link to comment
