Everything is in place. I am so fascinated with this one. the high shutter speed which is a challenge for photographers specially because of the amount of light that has to be controlled or balanced. you have picked the best shot in the series of many. this one shows one of those rare fleeting moments people may never see in their life. it is your work which has brought into the focus such a rare passing moments within fractions of a second. this is the primary duty of a photographer to fulfill. very nice

Good evening Arash,

I'm very touched by your comment. I'm glad that you like this photo but not only, I'm also really happy that you like the moment.

Here is the problem - while the technique is grand - what makes this different then the other 2000 drop photos on this site.  I'm not trying to flame you as it's technically well done but . . . it goes into the same category of close of an Eagle head.  Been there done that!     You have some photos SO much better!  The Autumn ones are SWEET!!

Hi Rod,

Thank you for your honesty. I know that this shot isn't the most original of the site, but I'm a new photographer and I'm learning. So when I submit a photo to rating and critiques, I appreciate to get pertinent and helpful comments, just to progress.

When you look at the landscape or autumn photos on the site, you can find thousands and thousands of them. They're all made on planet Earth, by thousands of photographers who often shoot the same scenes. Difficult not to to find other photos looking like mine... Don't you think so ?

I don't know if you're the one who gave me a 3, but for me it's a bad rate, the one you give to a bad photo. Though you say it's technically good...

I'm just happy that 10 persons out of the 11 who rated like this image.

Hi Latil, Yes, there are a lot of droplets photos in this site, but your is different and I like it very much. I lake also all these droplets photos – they are not easy and some of them are very interesting. In this case you have to be happy that Rod honestly is commenting his preferences. This is much better than anonymous negative ratings just because somebody does not like your name on the first page. Negative comments are the best – they are very useful! Best wishes my friend.

Hi Evgeni,

Thank you for your comment and your kindness. After my first disappointment reaction, I think your point of view is the wisest.

Though, I appreciate that some people dare to say that they don't like something and take time to explain why.

Friendly yours

Thank you very much, Tony.

Tis exercise learns me a lot about technique.

I'm fascinated by water and its versatility, and also the fact that no one knows how to produce it (contrarily to diamond for example). The value of things is so subjective...
