I love the colour in this, very natural skin tones. I love the look on the girls face, the expression to me is one of confusion, what am i doing and why am i dressed like this. The image is almost a contradiction in dress and age and i think that's what makes it work, the expression to me cements that.

From your titile (description) I understand that this is a special occassion and it probably is customary for the children to 'dress up'. While she is so young, I just can't get over the COLOUR of her EYES, so beautiful!!! The colour of the scarf and eye make up make them stand out even more. The child in the other image is dressed/made up similarily, she does look like a little gypsy.
