Sunrise at Sunrise Point. How clever.

A beautiful image. It would have been nice if you could have got some light on those roots to define them better and separate them from the background.

Isn't this a little dark ? I love the picture, but it is frustrating that I can't see the bottom left so well. I think it would score higher if worked on a bit.

Great composition - I love the way the tree pulls together the tones of the sky and canyon.

Like you framing and composition. Very nice colors. Good cloud definition in this shot.

Thanks for all of the comments. I didn't want to bait specific comments, but had wondered if people would suggest that the darkness on the bottom was a problem. Partly the sunrise light not hitting that area, and partly my tendency to prefer slight underexposure for rich saturation, I guess. At any rate, I'll look around for the couple bracketed exposures that I took (but haven't yet scanned). Thanks!
