nice to see a image with your name beneath,  has been a while. like the sharpness of iris but to be honest what really caught my eye would be that twig or insect on right side petal.  could you confirm exactly what it is,  as really has my curiosity up.  hoping you have a great 2013 filled with adventure and good health!

Good to be back!  These are the same wild irises which grow on our lake shore every year.

The insect is a spider and in the original RAW image you can also see the web...kind of an added "treat".

I have not had my own computer for photography but this Chrismas my wife bought me a new MacBook Pro with the retina display.

So, here we go again.   I'm looking forward to many enjoyable hours sharing and viewing images.

Lots to learn and explore...always a joy!

thanks for getting back to me,  thought it was probably a spider but not sure.  seems santa clause was fairly generous with you,  hope you enjoy the new toy.
