Five years can be a big difference at that age.  She is definitely more mature and confident now.  She was a beautiful child and now she is a beautiful woman.  The side-by-side comparison tells a story.  Nice work and thanks for sharing with us.

First of all, I find those 2 portraits technically excellent. Apart from that, great concept. As said above, the eyes and the position of the head bring a strong feeling of self-confidence. I like the fact that the old portrait is in colour and the more recent sepia.

A bit timid five years ago.  Much more direct now.  Her face has filled in, grown larger, reflecting the "more" that she's become.
