galina stepanova 0 Posted July 24, 2003 'The fifth circle of hell', it is right here, colors perfectly fit, well done! Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted July 25, 2003 Hi Carol: I like what you've done and know that it's supposed to be Styx (not a bad 70s band, those Styx), but I wonder if so much empty space is necessary in the foreground? Also might a lower angle looking more up into the trees rather than down onto them be more brooding? Link to comment
photomd 0 Posted July 25, 2003 Well thought.I like the tinting and the mood. I, however, don't expect trees to grow in Styx Swamp. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 25, 2003 I agree with Jim's comment above--there's a lot of wasted space in the foreground. I'd crop about the bottom 25%. Link to comment
keith hatcher 0 Posted July 25, 2003 Great pic...I do not agree with the wasted foreground...it reveals depth and color variety. Link to comment
patricia_eifel 0 Posted July 25, 2003 Hi Carol --- I like the tinting on this. I think the dark glassy foreground space is important to the composition. It contributes to the vague feeling of danger that I think you want to covey. Perhaps still not quite dark enough for Dante but beautiful none-the-less. Link to comment
john_kroy 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Amazing shot. I think that this perhaps cries out for a nice dark frame. Link to comment
