I don't understand why the horizon was left so tilted. At first I thought it was the angle, then tried a quick rotation and partial crop

Ever since I took the picture, I never felt that there was something wrong with the horizon, never occurred to me to correct it.  Now that I can see what it would like like with a straight horizon, it looks too proper and straight forward to me.  I suppose I could stick to the established rules, but I prefer to stick to what I think looks good.
