kurt_johansen 0 Posted July 24, 2003 Beautifully framed, the tree in the background makes the picture. Link to comment

kaphn8d 0 Posted July 24, 2003 very nicely done... I love the contrast of the bird on the foggy background... really good job Link to comment
ecography 0 Posted July 25, 2003 I think it would have looked better without the bird. Everything is dark and the bird sticks out of which you can barely make out the bird anyway. But excellent idea. Link to comment
richard_nichols_iii 0 Posted July 25, 2003 I LIKE the bird in the foreground. The way it stands out as so vividly and crisp in contrast to the mystical background. As if the whole picture were about that one bird, yet, at the same time, it pales in comparison to the magic of what's behind it--a delicious paradox. this picture is works amazingly well. (the shape of the tree, reaching leftward, the orientation of the picture, the moss hanging from the tree in the mist, the line of red, the faintest hint of a tree line in the background)it's perfect. except maybe the bird should have been a little more over to the left, centered and not directly in front of that patch of weeds. and maybe there should havebeen a tiny bit more slack above the tree. next time, move the bird. :> Link to comment
vlad po... 1 Posted July 26, 2003 Really nice capture, but...In fact, I can see here two pictures in one. 2/3, background, is in a good agreement with the title, really moody, foggy composition. Bottom 1/3, foreground, quite sharp with bright white spot in the middle. The two parts are competing. As a result, my eye stops at the bird first, than travels to the sharp grass on the left, and only than goes into "the fog". My subjective opinion is that if you would capture from higher angle without this bird in the frame, the composition was stronger.Everything depends on what was your intention. Now, the fog is just minor subject. Link to comment
bayard_bigelow 0 Posted July 27, 2003 Very nice compostion -- stark clear white object against foggy, blurry beauty. Link to comment
