Hi Jamie, Benjamin and Ruud, many thanks for your kind comments and compliments.    @Jamie, I used this lens for 6 years or so and most of this time was happy with its performance.  When its drive mechanism failed, however, I replaced it with the 24-105mm lens.  The lens was repaired OK but I decided it was time to move on.

Hi Gail, thanks for your comment.  I'm not 100% sure what the plant is but I suspect some kind of Australian native acacia, possibly Acacia falciformis (Broad-leaf Hickory).  Cheers, Margo.
