Pink Rose

I'm trying to improve my skills with flowers. This was taken in the

studio, using studio lighting. How'm I doing?

The flower is really well lit. The composition is not unique, though it works. The depth of field is really well selected, and the image is quite sharp.

Most flower shots are nice, but uninteresting. This one uses lighting to it's greatest advantage, thus creating an excellent photo.

I really like the way you lit this as the shadowy area add to this in a pleasant way for me. The detail on the peatals (wrinkles) are fantastic. Don't know if you used the "Velvia" setting on the 10D with this one, but the colors are nice and vibrant without being overwhelming. The pink background in the upper right seems to be competing with the rose for attention. I would have reframed to isolate the rose with a green background. Well done.
